La Cuenta officially launches next week
Hello! Thanks for subscribing to La Cuenta. Things will get rolling around here more officially next week. In the meantime, we had the opportunity to collaborate on this amazing, letter-pressed postcard:

The inimitable Hope Amico designed this with us (and if you like nice things and getting them regularly in your mailbox you should check out her Keep Writing project).
We’ll talk more about this postcard and our intentions with it later. It is an important component of how we conceptualize research and how we do it alongside communities that don’t dwell in the ivory tower. At its heart, this is an invitation for you to name the costs you’ve incurred as a result of living in the U.S.
Finally, we want to get these postcards into the hands (and mailboxes!) of individuals that might be interested in helping us account for the myriad costs of American life. If you know anyone who might be interested in this project, please send them this link.
