A Request for Your Voice

We need your help to shape the future of La Cuenta.

We’re a year and a half into publishing La Cuenta (!) and continue to be honored by the incredible individuals that have shared their words with us. The unblemished narratives you have entrusted to us go a long way toward challenging immigration-related discussions in the U.S. We have many powerful stories and essays in store in the coming weeks.

Even with the words and narratives to come, we want to encourage potential contributors to get in touch. If you have ever wanted to share your story or have an experience related to living and thriving while labeled undocumented, we are excited to work with you.

To be clear, if you are interested in contributing and aren’t even sure how to start, send us an email! We’re happy to work with you! We continue to pay all of our contributors. Our call for contributors from last year has additional information as well.

Finally, if you are a reader of La Cuenta who has not been labeled undocumented or been a part of a mixed-status family, we’d love to hear from you too. Please share with us story ideas or general questions here. And if you aren’t interested in contributing but know someone who would be an amazing voice to feature here, let us know.
